Dear Prospective Family,

Circle of Friends Preschool is a faith-based, non-denominational, early childhood education program. We are a mission outreach program of Columbia Presbyterian Church. For the past 60 years, Columbia Presbyterian Church has supported a preschool program in its building. In 1995, the church acquired the former Ladybug preschool, and Circle of Friends Preschool came into being.

Our approach at Circle of Friends is to equip each child with a basic foundation in faith, helping them experience God’s love through example and encouraging them to develop good morals and character. We understand that each child is unique, and our age-appropriate curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all aspects of their development: academics, music, literature, gross motor, fine motor, creativity, and socialization, including an introduction to basic sign language. This somewhat structured program also allows for freedom of choice, respecting each child’s individuality and pace of learning.

In addition to an introduction to academics; letter recognition, shapes, colors and numbers, basic sight words, and letter writing, we are a theme-based center. The children will also learn about various topics and the world around them. The activities during the day are deemed age-appropriate, taking into consideration brain development, attention levels, and maturity expectations.

At Circle of Friends Preschool, we pride ourselves on providing a truly loving and nurturing environment. Our staff, a team of dedicated Christian women, is committed to helping God’s little gifts grow and mature. We strive to create a caring and supportive place for all of our families, ensuring that your child’s well-being and happiness are our top priority.

Blessings,

Laura Ericcsen
